Who We Are

Thrifting 4 Gifting (“T4G™”)is as an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that transforms lives and strengthens our communities through philanthropic programs in Southwest Riverside County. Member volunteers are dedicated to identifying and serving the needs of Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and Romoland communities through philanthropic programs developed and administered by our members. We currently have 113 member volunteers. Our organization supports six community based philanthropic programs benefiting everyone from infants to adults residing in Southwest Riverside County.

T4G™, with a history of supporting the vision and talents of volunteers engaged in personal service to the community, embraces the following values. Annette Sheehy

Annette Sheehy

President
After retiring from a career in teaching, Annette Sheehy was eager to continue supporting children, families, and schools through volunteer work. She joined Thrifting 4 Gifting in 2004 and has since served on numerous committees and the Board of Directors. Today, she proudly leads the organization as President, guiding its mission to strengthen communities through service and philanthropy. Annette loves working alongside the many dedicated volunteers who keep the thrift shop thriving. Together, they ensure that funds raised directly benefit programs that improve lives across the community. Outside of her volunteer work, Annette enjoys spending time with her family, sewing, reading, and playing the violin—pursuits that reflect her creativity and love of learning.
Fernando Disla

Fernando Disla

Treasurer
Has a deep passion for helping others and a strong commitment to supporting local causes. When introduced to Thrifting 4 Gifting by his partner, he was eager to get involved and contribute to its mission of serving the community through meaningful philanthropic initiatives. Fernando currently serves as the organization’s Treasurer, where he ensures that Thrifting 4 Gifting remains financially strong and well-equipped to support both operational needs and charitable programs. His responsibilities include reviewing the organization’s financial position, maintaining sound controls aligned with nonprofit accounting practices, and identifying ways to increase efficiencies and reduce operating expenses. Living in the Temecula area with his family, Fernando takes pride in working behind the scenes to safeguard the organization’s resources so that Thrifting 4 Gifting can continue making a lasting impact in the community.
Denise Lanier

Denise Lanier

Philanthropic Chair
With more than 40 years of experience in Human Resources across both private and public sectors, Denise Lanier brings a wealth of leadership and dedication to every role she takes on. Now retired, she continues to embrace her passions—singing, hiking, and volunteering—while remaining deeply committed to community service. Denise has been an active member of T4G™ for over 12 years, serving in key leadership positions including Resource Development Chair, Risk Management, President, Vice President of Philanthropic Programs, and leader of T4G™’s hiking group. Her involvement reflects not only her professional expertise but also her personal devotion to giving back. What inspires Denise most about T4G™ is its mission: as a 100% volunteer-driven nonprofit, the organization has been uplifting communities for more than 36 years. Denise believes wholeheartedly in its vision to “put the sparkle back in a child’s eyes”—a goal that unites every volunteer and fuels her continued passion for service.
Dene Lynch

Dene Lynch

Education Chair
Dene Lynch has called the Temecula area home for more than 35 years, where she lives with her husband and son. After retiring, she chose to dedicate her time and talents to Thrifting 4 Gifting, a decision that has brought her lasting friendships and the joy of helping children in need. For the past 12 years, Dene has been an active and versatile member of the organization. She has contributed in many ways—managing the jewelry department, assisting at the registers, training new members, and serving as Education Chair on the Board of Directors. Her commitment reflects both her passion for service and her belief in the mission of Thrifting 4 Gifting: creating meaningful opportunities to give back and make a difference in the lives of children and families.
Electra Demos

Electra Demos

Marketing Communications Chair
For more than 26 years, Electra Demos has been a dedicated member of Thrifting 4 Gifting, serving in numerous leadership roles—including President—and currently as Marketing Communications Chair. Her long-standing commitment reflects both her passion for the organization and her belief in the power of volunteerism. Electra values Thrifting 4 Gifting as a place where anyone can discover their own path to service. With so many opportunities to contribute, volunteers are able to find roles that align with their passions while working alongside like-minded individuals who share the same dedication to community impact. Her leadership and enthusiasm continue to inspire others, reinforcing the organization’s mission of giving back and creating meaningful change.
Diana Elizondo

Diana Elizondo

Secretary
As an elementary school teacher, Diana Elizondo has dedicated her life to supporting children and families. Over the past 40+ years, she has volunteered with several nonprofit organizations, always drawn to those whose mission centers on helping children thrive. For the last 20 years, Diana has been an integral part of Thrifting 4 Gifting, serving on the Board of Directors in multiple roles including Education Chair, Thrift Shop Manager, and now Secretary. Her leadership and commitment reflect both her professional background and her passion for giving back. When Diana moved to Murrieta in 2002, she sought a meaningful way to continue serving her community. She was inspired by Thrifting 4 Gifting’s all-volunteer model and its dedication to supporting programs that provide vital services to children. Diana is deeply grateful to be part of an organization that makes a lasting difference in people’s lives.
Anna Silva

Anna Silva

Thrift Shop Manager
Serves as the Thrift Shop Manager for Thrifting 4 Gifting, bringing six years of dedicated service to the organization. She is passionate about creating a positive volunteer experience and takes pride in supporting the team while ensuring the shop runs smoothly every day. Anna’s focus is on making each customer’s visit enjoyable and meaningful. She believes that the heart of Thrifting 4 Gifting lies in its people— volunteers and shoppers alike—and works tirelessly to foster a welcoming environment. Her commitment reflects the organization’s mission: to provide not only quality items but also a shopping experience that leaves a lasting impression.
Andrea Brusca

Andrea Brusca

Facilities Manager
Andrea Brusca retired in 2016 after a 25-year career in Human Resources and Facilities Management, working with organizations such as Lockheed Martin IMS and ResCare Inc. As a Facilities Manager, she partnered with the State of California and multiple nonprofits, gaining valuable experience in collaboration and community support. In 2019, Andrea moved to Murrieta and joined Thrifting 4 Gifting (formerly Assistance League of Temecula) in February 2020. Coming from humble beginnings, she believes volunteering offers a unique opportunity to connect with people from diverse backgrounds who share a common goal: making a positive impact on families and the community. Through these connections, Andrea has built lasting friendships and meaningful collaborations. She brings dedication and heart to her role as Facilities Manager, ensuring everything runs smoothly while fostering a welcoming environment for all.
Sue Sampson

Sue Sampson

Bylaws Chair
Sue Sampson has been a dedicated member of Thrifting 4 Gifting for 17 years. A former teacher, she was drawn to the organization through its philanthropic program providing new school clothes to underprivileged students—a mission that aligns closely with her passion for education and helping children succeed. She currently serves on the Board as Bylaws Chair and has previously held several leadership roles, including Past President, Secretary, and Strategic Planning Chair. She is proud to be part of an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the community and is committed to continuing that impact.
Aubrey Nicometo

Aubrey Nicometo

Membership Chair
Aubrey Nicometo has called Temecula home for 38 years after moving from San Diego, where she earned her degree in Production and Graphic Design from Platt College. She built a successful career in the printing and graphic design industry, working as a manager and designer while also running a home-based graphic business. Married since 1977, Aubrey and her husband have two daughters and four wonderful grandchildren, two teenagers and two energetic little ones. Over the years, she has been an active volunteer, serving as a room mom and participating in PTA and PTO activities. In 2012, she began volunteering with AL/T4G, continuing her passion for giving back to the community. As Membership Chair, Aubrey brings creativity, warmth, and a welcoming spirit to the board. She loves decorating, crafting, cooking with her grandchildren, and finds her ultimate happy place at the beach!
Joan Price

Joan Price

VolunTeens Chair
Joan Price was born and raised on Catalina Island, California. She earned a master’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and spent many years working in the field of education, helping others find their voice and reach their potential. Joan has been a dedicated volunteer with Thrifting 4 Gifting since 1997, generously sharing her time and talents in support of families and the community. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, golfing, reading, and traveling.
